MS Awareness 2008

How many people really understand what MS is? Even those who know what MS stands for rarely appreciate the impact it can have. MS Awareness is an opportunity for us to help change this and encourage people across the UK to focus the debate on how to improve MS services.

Launch of our new website, a new book, an exciting competition, a chatroom and an abseil down a 100 feet high viaduct. These are just a few of the things The MS Trust is doing for MS Awareness, and we would love to hear what you are planning?

For instance, why not raise awareness of MS at your workplace by setting up an information stand, hold a sponsored event and get the local media to cover it or plan a My Supper for MS with your friends? You can find lots of inspiration for all sorts of events on our website.

One of the highlights for MS Awareness 2008 will be our abseil down Millers Dale Viaduct in Derbyshire! The MS Trust is often described as the ‘can do’ organisation for people with MS and this is an opportunity for people to show the world that MS doesn't have to stop someone in their tracks and that with the right support and information, people can continue to live life to the full.
